Skype and Boingo Have Partnered to Offer Free Internet Calls at Tens Of Thousands Of Skype Zones

Boingo Wireless, the world's leading Wi-Fi company, and Skype, the leading internet telephony company, have joined forces to offer Skype Zones -- Powered By Boingo. Using the new Skype Zones -- Powered by Boingo service, Skype users can make Internet calls from Boingo's worldwide hot spots. Skype users simply log on to the Skype Zones service using the Skype Zones - Powered by Boingo software, which includes Boingo’s Wi-Fi sniffer, connection management and roaming authentication capabilities. Once connected, users can make Skype calls and access key features such as presence, global user directory, contact lists and instant messages with the Skype software.
 
The Skype Zones services is in its beta phase during which Skype will solicit feedback from users to ensure optimum service delivery and feature enhancements. The Skype Zones client is available for Windows 2000 and Windows XP computers and can be purchased from the Skype store (http://www.skype.com/products/skypezones/) or the Boingo web site (http://www.boingo.com/sales/skype_zones/). Monthly access to Skype Zones is $7.95 per month for unlimited Skype access or $2.95 for a 2-hour connection.
